The turning points, small wins, and honest beginnings that brought me here..
🌿 Milestone Moment: 11 Years of Simple Photography
Date: September 2025
Today I celebrate 11 years of Simple Photography.
It began as a small experiment with light, flowers, and moments — and became a journey of heart and patience. Through these years I’ve learned that:
beauty doesn’t have to be big to be unforgettable, light finds us even in quiet places, and what we notice becomes the story of our lives.
Even if I get lazy most times to post, the love for photography has never left me. 🌸
This milestone isn’t just about me — it’s about the simple things we all hold close. A flower blooming, a sky painted at dawn, a memory kept safe in our hearts.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along or simply paused to look. You’ve made this journey brighter.
Here’s to 11 years… and still blooming. 💫

When I Didn’t Know What I Was Doing (But Kept Going Anyway)
I Started with Facebook groups- not page not a brand, just me and my photos. My first Samsung Galaxy thought me a lot. I wasn’t good at all. Not even close, but I kept taking pictures of flowers and posting them anyway.
My early attempts at capturing figs…slightly overexposed, wildly enthusiastic, and exactly where I began.
Other people had perfect lighting, poetic, captions. Mine were…chaotic. Bury. Sometimes just plain weird, but I was inspired. I watched, I learned and I posted. And a kind folks on G+ (especially a friend named Brian- forgive me if I spell it wrong Cainvalle?) gave tips that I still carry today. Then my husband saw something in me, he bought me a camera as my birthday gift- a NikonD7100. He set it up, all ready to go. And what did I do?. I fiddled with it until it produced a cartoon photo that was posted on one of my blog. (That’s love, right? Buying the gear and still and still smiling through the results.)
Here Is Another Fiddling Mistakes Shots Below
My home town, in one of my first black-and-white fiddling shots. Not perfect- but perfectly
He Also Suggested “I Try WordPress – Saying “Maybe You’ll Make Some Money”.
I didn’t know anything. Not about plugins. Not about menus. Not
even where to start.
But here -I am-not making a
cents, but making something far more valuable:
A place where my voice lives.
A garden of stories.
A gallery of what I’ve seen.
And a quiet record of everything I’ve felt along the way.
So no, I didn’t know what I was doing.
But I kept going anyway.

Birds In Flight
Wings over Casurina branches-loud bold and gone in a blink

“One of my first photo stories-
capturing birds, not perfectly, but patiently.
It taught me to trust my open eyes”
Note: The tree in the first images is Casuarina, not a gumtree-an old friend from morning walks, still standing after storms.
He inspired me to take that morning walk on the beach. I didn’t expect to find these lot perched on a dead Casurina branch and still standing after the storm. It was always quiet mornings on a high tides on one of my favourite beaches “Lammermoor.” No wind no movements-just wings resting there where the leaves used to be. And something in me stilled too. The birds gather there often, and for the moment, I caught them inspired that morning for that walk on the beach.
