I almost forgot these shots were hiding in my camera. The grass was taller than usual — proof of my lazy weekend — and I hadn’t planned to take photos that day. But maybe that little pause was a blessing.

In the untidy corner of the garden, the butterflies found me.
One pale, one golden — each pausing just long enough for me to notice.

Sometimes beauty doesn’t wait for a tidy garden.
It simply arrives, in the places we leave undone.

Wonderful finds in your yard. I enjoy the unexpected too.
Looks like a Caper White and a Small Grass Yellow
On days when I am to lazy to mow the lawn in summer the grass gets to tall and that’s when the butterflies come out. had camera in my hand waiting for anything to fly by me.
Excellent way to spend a day
Or sometimes maybe to lazy also to got out for a photo shoot😊

“Thanks, Mike! You’re right — butterflies really are the best photography subjects. They never stay still for long, so it always feels like a little victory when I catch them.”
