Caught in Colour & Sunlight

“Some colours only appear when the wings open.”

The lorikeet didn’t pose for me — it simply burst into the light, feathers glowing through the poinciana leaves. One second of wild motion, one frame of pure colour.

A colorful lorikeet in mid-flight, displaying vivid feathers against green foliage and bright sunlight.

It was there one moment and the next this—
I didn’t have time to focus during my garden round.

“By the time I steadied my camera for the next shot, it had already taken off. That’s the thing about wild beauty — it never waits.”

Moments like these remind me why I love this backyard… nothing staged, just nature showing off when it wants to.

I have them outside of my house and since I had 3 tall trees at my backyard they are constantly there. That was just the one image, I actually have few more in my galary😊.
