A Cold Morning at Wreck Point in Yeppoon

The air had a bite to it,
the kind that wakes you before the sun does.

The sea was quiet,
the town still half asleep,
and for a little while,
the world seemed content to move slowly.

No rush.
No noise.
Just cold air,
soft light,
and enough space
to hear my own thoughts.

Sometimes that’s all I need. 🌅

  1. Beautifully captured.

There’s something special about those quiet moments before the world wakes up when the sea is calm, the air is crisp, and time seems to slow down. Sometimes peace isn’t found in doing more, but in simply being present.

    1. That’s exactly what drew me to the scene. The world felt quiet for a little while, and for a moment it seemed as though time had slowed down.

I especially loved your line about peace being found in simply being present. Sometimes those quiet moments are the ones that stay with us the longest.

Thank you for your thoughtful words.
