Finding Our Way 🌿

Garden rounds Stories —1st of July, New Financial Year.

When the fence changed everything, I thought I had lost more than a garden. I lost the view I loved, roses I’d nurtured for years, and a quiet place that had become part of me. Standing there, watching the work progress day by day, I felt devastated.

White Banksia

The Banksia was knocked down and forced to grow sideways. Dorothy Perkins and many of my roses were pulled out. For a while, it seemed as though years of care had disappeared overnight.

But the Banksia never gave up. It didn’t complain that its path had changed. It simply reached toward the light, growing in a new direction.

Looking at it now, I realise I’ve been doing the same.

Life doesn’t always let us keep the view we once had. Sometimes it changes the landscape without asking. Yet somewhere within us is the quiet strength to begin again, to lean toward hope, and to keep growing.

The Banksia and I are still finding our way. 💚
